I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP #5808) and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I believe it is not uncommon nowadays to find ourselves within our society feeling lost. We’ve learned to neglect ourselves, our needs, and feel unable to call upon others when we need help. We’ve learned to internalize feelings of shame and speak to ourselves in a hyper-critical voice. I believe this often comes from a place of wounding from our past that drives us further away from our true, authentic self. When we are able to learn how to care and nurture ourselves in the way we needed in the past, then we can begin to shift the beliefs we hold about ourselves and who we are in relation to others.
Prior to working in therapy, I used to work as a Live Sound Engineer around Nashville. Music is still an incredibly important part of my life and am an avid fan of Punk and Hip Hop. In my spare time I can be found at concerts, hiking, and spending quality time with my cats.
